Parents are encouraged to play an active role in the day to day activities of each class. Parents can give the teacher valuable assistance by taking small groups for Reading, Maths, Art and Craft activities as well as coaching or supervising sporting teams. Parents wishing to be a parent helper should liase with their child’s teacher(s).
A Guidelines for Koumala State School Volunteers booklet (PDF, 1333 KB) which outlines roles, responsibilities and expectations in relation to parent helpers is available for perusal from the school office.
The tuckshop is run by voluntary workers without whose help we would not be able to offer the service to the children of the school. Any parents who are able to help with tuckshop should supply their name on the Tuckshop Roster at the start of each term or contact the Tuckshop Committee.
